Data Deletion Policy

We respect your right to privacy and your right to be forgotten. This policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and personal data from Weyli.

How to Delete Your Account In-App

The fastest and easiest way to delete your account and all associated data is directly through the Weyli mobile app:

Open the Weyli app and go to the Settings screen (gear icon).
Tap on Account.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Read the warning and confirm the deletion.

This action is immediate and irreversible.

How to Request Deletion via Email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request data deletion by emailing us.

Send an email to contact@weyli.com from the email address associated with your Weyli account.
Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request.
Include your full name as it appears on your profile.

We will process email requests within 14 days and send a confirmation once your data has been deleted.

Export Your Data Before Deletion

You can download a GDPR data export before deleting your account. Visit My Account, sign in with your Weyli account, and use Download GDPR export. This uses Weyli's authenticated /api/profile/export endpoint and downloads your data as a JSON file.

What Data is Deleted?

When your account is deleted, we permanently erase:

Your user profile (name, email, age, fitness goals, etc.)
Your chat history with the AI coach
Your weekly training and nutrition plans
Any custom settings or preferences

What Data is Retained?

We may retain the following information strictly as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

Records of in-app purchases (retained by Apple/Google for financial compliance)
Anonymised, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you

Important Notes

Deleting your account does NOT cancel your subscription. If you have an active Weyli Premium subscription, you must cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings to prevent future charges.
